The Queen of Cups in the Mother Tarot Deck is Spirit, manifest in the form of the heart, which miraculously chooses to beat (or not to beat). No cup can contain this Queen, however her essence may be pumped in connection with her world, rhythm of the Divine as her guide. This card beckons the Universe’s unending wellspring of available love. Bring to mind the saying that when one door closes, another opens. This must be true for the heart to survive. When the heart is broken, a source of loving exchange has been lost, and what remains is open doors. Fear teaches us that we shouldn’t trust what we do not know, so we do not look fondly upon these freshly opened doors at first. They wait, and are there for us when we’re ready, and also when we’re not ready but simply must see what lies beyond.
