Your sword is an extension of your will. The will to live, love, and live out your destiny is innate, but you must use your resources.
An egg-ling must put up a fight to hatch, and there are muscles, beaks, warm mothers, and cozy nests to use to one’s advantage. Later, hatchlings must again use what new resources the Universe hath given to break free of the shell that housed the shell.
A war isn’t done until it’s won, nor is it won until it's done. You have broken free of one shell only to find another.
Most wars worth fighting aren’t won in one lifetime. Battles are another story.
