Tarot Card Spreads Series - Aries Layout

It's Aries season: the season alight with fire. Naturally I've been catching up on my Twin Peaks (Fire, Walk With Me...) when I'm not running up against massive changes at the day job, lighting every kind of incense I can find to clean the house of anxiety, and brushing up on my cardio. My guess is that you can relate to the "violently beautiful" new energy present due to spring, and the astrological new year in Aries.

Aries is the brightest fire of the sun signs. Leo's fire is deep, long, and smoldering, Sagittarius is a big bonfire (perhaps a bit worrying in it's raging playfulness), and Aries is a freshly lit match, just about to fly into a pile of hay. Aries sun signs are the soul-infants of the zodiac. This fire knows only innocence, yet packs a mighty passionate, powerful punch.

I know we are all enjoying the balancing Pisces moon (cool, ancient, tranquil, forgiving, knowing) currently hovering in our sky,* which will be gliding back into Aries and into its deepest black night on Monday, March 26th. What does all of this mean? We are enjoying a little break while the Aries baby sleeps. Soon we will ALL be awake.

One thing to remember about Astrology is this: Astrology can help us swim with the "current" of our solar system and it's influences. If a full moon can have us howling, and at the new moon we are on our knees, the rest of the planets surely have their way with us with the same , in their own ways.

Below is the suggested spread for Aries Season:

This blog is brand new today, and this "Spread Series" is brand new as well. I will offer new spreads with each new moon for at least the next four moon cycle. Use this spread with the Dark Days Tarot Deck or any Tarot or card deck you like.

Single card layouts are the key to yielding to the passionate (and possibly a wee bit attention-deficit) energy of Aries newness:

Practice working with one card per day for a few days to a week. Notice if you feel like pulling more cards, reminiscent of a toddler pulling all of the toys out of the chest at once. Are you creating a "too many toys" scenario? How can you simplify your needs? Perhaps you need "parental" energy, i.e. outside support and guidance.

Notice if you feel reactive about the card or its occurred meaning to you. This is something to consider balancing out erratic newness with a walk, toke, meditation session, leafy greens, candle-burning, shower, call to Mom, etc. One card a day can be your proverbial boob/bottle for clinging to as you experience new awakenings.
