Below is an excerpt from the Dark Days Tarot Guidebook by Emily Mundy:
Knight of Swords
An inspiring, attractive guide has galloped into a position of considerable power in your life. They are untempered, unabashedly charming, and quick to make you think. But the Knight of Swords comes upon you with the power of a storm. This intense presence can certainly reinvigorate the sureness of your willpower, but can also serve as a warning to avoid letting your weaknesses lead you astray. Left and reversed, this card cautions against placing trust in those that may not seek to empower you. Disharmony and conflict will arise if you misplace too much of yourself in the throes of blind attraction. The card’s positioning connotes varying levels of your restlessness and impatience.
upright: a positively powerful charm or charmer
right: the approaching of said charm in the upright position
left: the approaching of said charm in the reversed position
reversed: a slyly sinister charm or charmer
