Ten of Wands - Minor Arcana Card

Excerpt from Dark Days Tarot Guidebook by Emily Mundy:

Ten of Wands

This ten-card is representative of the completion of a cycle. The querent has almost reached the summit after a steep climb, and the reaping of rewards is clear and near in sight. Having almost fulfilled a creative venture or personal journey, the querent must soon bear the responsibly of this fulfillment. It’s an odd quirk of human nature that sometimes what we’ve labored tirelessly to achieve can be the same thing that oppresses us… pressure must be removed from the self, by the self, so that fulfilled endeavors can keep evolving. Let the transformative power of detachment help release the burden of accomplishment. Take a moment to breathe and reassess from this high vantage point.

Suggested prompts:

upright: oppression by accomplishment; peak of opportunity

right: nearing accomplishment; acknowledgment of responsibility

left: a rush; a pressure

reversed: necessary detachment; longer-than-expected journey
