Creating a deck of divination cards, such as a Tarot or Oracle deck, is one of the most rewarding endeavors an artist can undertake, and I highly encourage everyone who is interested in doing so to do so! 

Decks of cards beg to be born, and you might be in the process of conceiving your own.

This coming Saturday the 26th of March, I will be hosting a Q&A event where I will take questions from those who're curious about creating their own deck, or perhaps you're already in the visioning/planning stages. Or maybe you've already started and you've run into some questions. My goal is to be a resource for you.

Some of you may be interested in developing your deck as a possible source of income, others will be interested for the sake of personal satisfaction, and many will be in it for the artistic development that comes with creating something so large and cohesive. 

I have developed and launched two Tarot deck and guidebook sets, and my first deck, Dark Days Tarot, was launched with the help of over $13K in Kickstarter and Indiegogo fundraising. I have also published a second Tarot deck, Mother Tarot, and am in the process of following the same formula for my third deck, the Sextile Oracle. I have now been in the business of selling my decks for seven years and my decks are carried by hundreds of shops around the world.

Creating these decks has launched my career as an independent artist and entrepreneur, and if this kind of goal speaks to you, I'd love to help. Your ticket to this event could be an investment that pays for itself many many times over.

I was able to hone and pinpoint my personal artistic style through creating my decks, and as a multi-passionate artist that loves to work in all different styles and mediums, this project worked wonders in the style-identifying side of things. In today's world, it helps to have a niche, personal aesthetic, or some consistency in the art you bring to the world, and creating a deck can teach you how to find the sweet spot amidst your talents.

All are wonderful reasons to create your own deck.

For those who have already started, have a mood board or any other material that you'd like to share with me and the group for feedback, I will allow space for these questions as well.

There are many things to consider when creating your own deck, especially if you are just getting started and/or want to make a business out of this project. I'd love to support you by offering my guidance and answering questions you have and might not have thought to ask!

PS: If you really want to learn the Tarot through and through, creating your own deck is an ideal way of doing so.
