19 - The Sun Card Meaning - Mother Tarot Major Arcana Card XIX

The Sun | Mother Tarot by Wren McMurdo Brignac

In the Mother Tarot deck, the Sun is the ultimate fire card, and thusly related to athame/sword energy. Represented by both egg and sperm, it constitutes massively compatible energies that smite the dark night. Many stars were born into an ever-expanding universe that includes our Sun. Sometimes feeling like a small fish in a big pond can bring feelings of contentment, peace, and acceptance. This card represents having learned enough to know that you have much, much more to learn. Put your life into perspective, says the Sun. You are but a blip, an ant, a speck. And yet, the mere air you breathe has a rippling, incredible butterfly effect. You cannot escape your human impact, nor can you escape death. But, you can escape misery, if you are able to find or create a context in which to do so. The Sun reads as a positive card, yes, but the gifts of the sun can be a little bit hard to handle. This card can also represent unruly optimism, ignorance, and grandeur. Be careful to enjoy the Sun from the safety of the shade from time to time to avoid getting burned. Reproductively and/or creatively, this card suggests working less hard if trying to conceive a project or new person.
